Fineshade Woods is an excellent place to view the changing colours of autumn into winter, with the contrast between the bare branches of the broadleaf trees such as beech and wild service and the evergreen conifers.

Fineshade Wood is part of Rockingham Forest. Corby / Stamford is the nearest town or village.

What's of interest
Fineshade is a wonderful ancient woodland, full of wildlife, including the red kite, and historically very important. To celebrate this, a new visitor centre facility with shop, RSPB centre, and Wildplay area is now open. The Lodge Cafe sells a range of light snacks and locally sourced food, and there are areas to picnic in.
