Horse Riding in the New Forest
 

You can ride in the New Forest without the requirement for a Forestry Commission Riding Permit, however we request that you read all warning signs and operation signs and adhere to them and any advice given.

However if you wish to drive with a horse and cart you will require a Horse Driving Permit for the New Forest. These can be obtained by calling 023 8028 6838 (Mon-Fri 9am - 3pm)or e-mailing enquiries.new.forest@forestry.gsi.gov.uk and requesting an application form.
