Speculation
 

Between 1800 and 1925 a coal mine operated here. The undulating nature of this open grassy site provides hints of its industrial past. The cycleway runs along the disused railway above the picnic site.

How to get there:

Speculation is in Forest Of Dean. Cinderford is the nearest town or village.

Situated on the B4234 Lydney road. From Cinderford , take the A4136 to Monmouth. At the junction with the B4234 turn left. The access to the carpark is about 1km along the road on the left hand side.
