Skyspace
The longer forest walk to Skyspace is waymarked from Kielder Castle, the shorter route from the additional parking site is signposted off the C200. Although the artwork is fully accessible, please contact the visitor centre for information and advice for vehicular access.
Visitors to the Skyspace will find themselves in a circular room where the artist manipulates our normal perceptions of light and space. In daylight hours, this chamber, illuminated only by natural light through the roof opening, is a contemplative space that focuses the visitor's attention on the sky. During the changing light conditions at dusk and dawn, the lighting system becomes active and visitors can expect to experience a rich and unforgetable display of tone and colour.
How to get there:
Skyspace can be started from Kielder Castle Forest Park Centre in Kielder which is part of Kielder. Kielder Village near Bellingham is the nearest town or village.
Kielder Castle is situated at the northern end of Kielder Water, off the C200.
