Duke's Trail

This trail starts and finishes at Kielder Castle Forest Park Centre and part of it is designed for use by wheelchair users and mums and dads with pushchairs. The trail makes a circuit around the adventure play area, partly beside the Kielder Burn. A spur takes you up Castle Hill where walkers can then return or cross the forest drive and into Ravenshill Wood, an ancient semi-natural woodland. A gradual descent takes you close to Kielder Campsite then joins a forest road which returns to Kielder Castle.

How to get there:

Duke's Trail can be started from Kielder Castle Forest Park Centre in Kielder which is part of Kielder. Kielder Village near Bellingham is the nearest town or village.

Kielder Castle is situated at the northern end of Kielder Water, off the C200.
