What's looking good

Throughout the year Westonbirt’s trees, shrubs and wild flowers put on a spectacular show of shapes, patterns and colours. Summer picnicing. Westonbirt Arboretum

Winter at Westonbirt is a magical experience - particularly when seen on a frosty day when the deep peaceful greens of our conifers and richly patterned barks take centre stage. Why don't you come along and walk the winter trail (this starts from 1st Dec).

Spring the arboretum comes alive with magnificent displays of rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias and the wildflowers of Silk Wood. See for yourself - spring colour  film clip here.

The Summer heralds the flowering of many of our grassland flowers on the downs while the trees provide cool leafy glades to wander and relax.

Autumn starts with a bang with one of the best natural fireworks displays in Britain as our maples in particular are ablaze in reds, oranges and yellows.
