Meetings, workshops and the Annual Collation

The FRCC meets twice a year. A Spring meeting focuses on co-operation and collaboration between funding programmes and related matters, and an annual collation of research projects is considered at a meeting each Autumn. In the collation projects are listed by funding agency or subject area, research supplier, other technical details and costs of each project are given. From time to time research topics of particular interest to sponsors arise (e.g farm forestry, climate change, conservation and biodiversity-related research) and FRCC will encourage public discussion of scientific issues by organising a seminar, workshop or similar event.

FRCC publishes an Information Note following each committee meeting drawing attention to important issues for benefit of the wider research community as well as the forest industry. FRCC may also publish from time to time reports on trends in forestry research and the output from workshops and seminars. The results of the FRCC collation of UK forest research are published annually.
