Green Infrastructure and Growth: Forestry Exemplar ProjectTrees, woodlands and forests are the particular emphasis of this project set within the development of green infrastructure proposals to support growth and regeneration at three Growth Point locations (Thetford, Burton upon Trent and Urban South Hampshire). The Phase 1 Status Report completed in May 2007 sets out a position statement on where each of these locations are on planning for growth and green infrastructure. It also puts forward potential next steps to develop green infrastructure proposals associated with trees, woodlands and forests based on experiences from the Growth Areas Programme. Phase 1 Status Report May 2007 [PDF 4.6 MB] Further work is planned to take this project forward into phase 2, which will set out some tangible outcomes for key partners to consider and adopt within the green infrastructure development process.
