Walks and all ability trails
Play Trail Although there’s loads of stuff for children to enjoy this is also a relaxing all-ability trail with regular resting points, that takes in some stunning views over Exeter and Dartmoor.
Butterfly Trail More demanding in places this trail leads to an area that has been cleared to provide habitat for some of Britain’s rarer butterfly species.
Mamhead Sensory Trail Another relaxing all-ability trail with regular resting points, waymarked by a series of sensory features, it offers breathtaking views over the Exe estuary and along the Jurassic Coast.
All-ability – these trails are level and well surfaced, making them suitable for wheelchairs & pushchairs. There are also regular resting points for people who can only walk for short distances at a time. More demanding – trails which may not be well surfaced and include sloping stretches. Not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs, and no resting points. Dog WalkingDogs are certainly welcome at Haldon Forest Park – what better way for you and your dog to get some exercise? We have several short ‘dog trails’ so that your dog can relieve itself at the start of a walk away from the main trails, and dog bins are provided close to the car parks. More information for dog owners. MapsYou can download a map of our trails.
